One of our flagship initiatives is the Song Dam Drinking Water Project, being constructed across the Song River near Maldevta in the Dehradun District. This vital project is designed to address the drinking water requirements of over 11 Lakh residents of Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand. Upon completion, the dam will provide a sustainable and reliable drinking water supply, improve public health and support the urban infrastructure of one of the state’s fastest- growing cities.

In addition to the Song Dam Project, UPDCC is also undertaking the construction of the Jamrani Dam Multipurpose Project, another strategically significant infrastructure initiative. This project is primarily aimed at enhancing irrigation facilities through ensuring better water resource management in the region and further addressing drinking water requirement of Haldwani city. Together, the Song Dam Drinking Water project and the Jamrani Dam Multipurpose Project represent two of the most ambitious and impactful infrastructure developments currently being implemented in Uttarakhand.

Apart from creating critical infrastructure like these two major dam projects and undertaking other key development initiatives across the state, UPDCC plays a vital role in shaping a better future for Uttarakhand. These efforts support improved water management, enhance agricultural productivity, create employment opportunities, and promote overall socio-economic development of state.
